Hi, I’m Austin Church!
Hi, I’m Austin L. Church, a 16 year freelance writer and an fCMO and brand consultant who started selling strategy and advisory in 2016. In 2019, I founded Freelance Cake and have since taught 1000s of freelancers how to stack up specific advantages and find their income-lifestyle sweet spot.
I’m absurdly passionate about coaching writers toward their most satisfying year yet, and when I’m not leading the Freelance Cake Community, I’m writing books (Free Money, Grabbling), learning from my wife who’s often wiser than I am, and wrangling three kids (aka, the ultimate creative challenge).

If you're ready to create and follow a solid business roadmap and finish the year on a high, then this event is for you. We’ll be specifically talking to more advanced freelance writers and focusing on organizing growth ideas into an actionable roadmap.
However, anyone else who wants to get started with taking a more methodical, process-oriented approach to growth is welcome to join us.
WHEN IS THIS EVENT HAPPENING?
The main portion of the summit runs from May 6 to May 9 with a handful of “pre-party” sessions happening the week of April 28. You’ll also be able to join our private Circle community as soon as you register, so you can join in on the fun, learning, and camaraderie right away.
WHAT IF I'M NOT ABLE TO ATTEND LIVE?
Most of the presentations for the summit are pre-recorded, but some sessions and other elements will happen live.
The pre-recorded presentations are available for 48 hours with your free ticket. We encourage you to attend live if you can.
We would also love for you to set aside some time during the summit week to watch the pre-recorded presentations, attend the live sessions, and participate with others who are creating their 1-page growth roadmap.
Even if you’re not able to attend all of the sessions live, go ahead and grab your free ticket, and you’ll have the opportunity to upgrade to the VIP Pass for extended access.
HOW LONG WILL I HAVE ACCESS TO THE PRESENTATIONS?
Your free ticket includes 48-hour access to each of the presentations. If you need more time, you can always upgrade your ticket to the VIP Pass after registering. It will give you extended access to the presentations, as well as other premium bonuses.
ARE THE PRESENTATIONS LIVE?
No. To avoid tech glitches and create the best overall experience for speakers and attendees, we decided to do pre-recorded sessions. They’ll be released at scheduled times during the summit. However, many of the speakers will be hanging out in our private Circle group with dedicated threads where you can connect with them and ask your questions. There will also be opportunities to join us for bonus live events throughout the week of the summit.
WILL ALL THE SPEAKERS GET MY EMAIL ADDRESS?
No. When you register, you’ll be added to the Freelance Cake email list so we can send you updates about the event and share links to each day’s presentations. After the summit is over, you’ll continue to hear from us, but you can unsubscribe at any time.
As for speakers and sponsors, they will have free resources available that you can access by providing an email address. They won’t get your email address unless you choose to give it to them. That way, you only hear from the people you really love and don't have to worry about getting added to 20+ email lists that you're not interested in.
